Role Overview

We are looking for experienced PhD-level physicists to contribute to a project focused on improving how advanced AI systems understand, analyse, and explain complex scientific topics.

You will research physics problems, interpret experimental or theoretical findings, develop high-quality scientific explanations, and evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and rigor. The work may cover both fundamental and applied physics, depending on your area of expertise. Previous experience with AI is not required.

CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, project-based

COMMITMENT: Flexible, based on project workload

LOCATIONS: Fully remote

HOURLY RATE: $70-$140/h

PROCESS: Application review, subject-matter assessment, and client evaluation

Key Responsibilities

  • Research advanced topics in theoretical or experimental physics.
  • Analyse scientific data, findings, and research materials.
  • Develop clear explanations of complex physics concepts.
  • Create and review physics questions, scenarios, and educational content.
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and logical consistency.
  • Identify conceptual errors, unsupported conclusions, and missing context.
  • Provide structured written feedback to improve AI reasoning and output quality.
  • Collaborate remotely with project stakeholders during review cycles.

Requirements

  • PhD in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting advanced scientific research.
  • Strong knowledge of theoretical, experimental, or applied physics.
  • Experience writing, reviewing, or publishing scientific content.
  • Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and accurately.
