Mission for Position
Our phlebotomist plays an important role in providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services to Lakewood Health System patients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Will exhibit problem solving skills of a complex nature, participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control Monitoring, specimen processing, phlebotomy, along with customer service
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of new procedures, products and equipment used in laboratory medicine to act as a resource and provide clinical expertise
- Performs preventive maintenance in assigned areas to keep equipment in optimal working order
- Will perform and report tests of waived and moderately complexed labs, as defined by CLIA, on patients of all ages to assist with the routine screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries.
Position Type
Part-time position with flexible scheduling with opportunity to work 12 hour shifts if desired, variety of shifts, and every 6th weekend.
