Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy, excellent patient interaction skills, and the ability to perform blood draws efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe and accurate blood draws.
- Verify patient identity and laboratory orders.
- Label, process, store, and prepare specimens for pickup.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient confidentiality.
- Follow infection-control and bloodborne-pathogen precautions.
- Maintain a clean and properly stocked collection area.
- Provide calm, respectful support to patients.
- Report unsuccessful collections, refusals, or safety concerns to clinical staff.
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certificate from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Strong knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background check
