About Story Box Collective

Story Box Collective is a Singapore-based creative production and digital marketing agency. We build content that actually performs — from cinematic brand films and product photography to platform-native short-form video for TikTok, Instagram and Xiaohongshu. Our clients span F&B, beauty & aesthetics, medical, lifestyle and events, and we're one of the few local studios building AI-native production into our everyday workflow.

We're a tight team of around ten. We move fast, care about craft, and expect everyone to own their output end to end.

We're looking for a hands-on Photographer & Videographer who can both shoot and edit — someone equally comfortable directing a proper studio product shoot and running-and-gunning a vertical clip that has to be posted the same day. You'll be one of the core creative engines behind our client content, turning briefs into scroll-stopping visuals.

This isn't a "point and shoot" seat. You'll be involved from concept to final export, and you'll grow into our AI-assisted production stack.

What You'll Do

• Shoot photo and video for a range of clients — product, food, lifestyle, portrait, event and behind-the-scenes
• Plan and execute short-form vertical video (TikTok / Reels / Shorts / Xiaohongshu) end to end: framing, lighting, capture and edit
• Edit and colour-grade your own footage, and cut fast-turnaround social content
• Set up and manage lighting, audio and grip on set and on location
• Collaborate with strategists, copywriters and account managers to make sure content matches the brief and brand rules
• Work within client compliance guidelines where required (e.g. medical/aesthetic clients have strict content rules — you'll be briefed)
• Keep footage, assets and project files organised and backed up
• Stay current on platform trends, formats and what's actually working right now

What You'll Bring

• shooting photo and video in an agency, studio, in-house or freelance capacity (strong portfolios from less-experienced talent will still be considered)
• A showreel / portfolio — this is essential; we want to see how you shoot and edit
• Solid command of camera systems (mirrorless/DSLR — Sony, Canon, or similar), lenses, and lighting fundamentals
• Editing proficiency: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, plus CapCut for fast social edits
• Photo post: Lightroom and Photoshop
• A genuine eye for composition, pacing and colour — and the discipline to hit deadlines
• Comfortable working independently on shoots and thriving in a fast, feedback-heavy environment
• Eligible to work in Singapore (Singapore Citizen / PR, or valid work pass)
