Photoshop Designer
Xanadu Studio is looking for an experienced Photoshop Designer who wants to work at the intersection of fine-detail image craft and AI-driven production. This role combines strong retouching and compositing fundamentals with hands-on experience refining and correcting AI-generated imagery to a polished, photoreal standard.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative
Perform high-quality photo compositing, blending multiple sources into seamless final images
Retouch faces, hands, skin, and fine details with precision and realism
Clean up, remove, or add objects and elements within a scene convincingly
Apply cinematic color grading to establish mood, tone, and visual consistency
Ensure lighting, shadows, and anatomy read as natural and physically accurate
AI Integration & Execution
Refine and correct AI-generated images, fixing common generation artifacts (hands, faces, textures, warped details)
Composite AI-generated assets with live-action or other generated elements into cohesive final shots
Maintain visual consistency across characters, environments, and shots throughout a project
Upscale and finish generated assets to delivery-ready quality
Iterate quickly across multiple versions to reach creative and technical benchmarks
Workflow & Collaboration
Organize and manage files, layers, and version control across projects
Translate creative briefs into precise, executable retouching and compositing work
Collaborate with creative, AI generation, and post teams across the production lifecycle
Stay current with emerging AI imaging tools and techniques, integrating them into workflow
Contribute to internal systems, templates, and best practices for image finishing
Requirements
Proven experience as a Photoshop designer/retoucher (agency, studio, freelance, or similar)
Strong command of the Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop (Lightroom, Illustrator a plus)
Excellent eye for realism, lighting, and anatomy
Experience with AI image generation tools
Strong skills in compositing, retouching, object cleanup/addition, and color grading
Fast learner with high adaptability to new tools and workflows
High attention to detail, especially in visual consistency and output quality
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
Experience working with AI-generated images and correcting their common flaws
Familiarity with generative fill, AI upscalers, or other AI-assisted Photoshop features
Background in advertising, editorial, or high-end commercial retouching
