- Design, build and maintain scalable, secure REST APIs and backend services in PHP
- Optimize MySQL schemas, indexes and slow queries for high-volume workloads
- Build and manage async workflows using queues and event-driven patterns (SQS/SNS)
- Deploy and monitor services on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Own production reliability: debugging, incident response and performance tuning
- Review code, mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture decisions
