About the role
As an Intermediate PHP Developer at TheTubes, you will design, develop, and maintain our custom CRM platform. You'll work alongside our team and directly with customers to deliver features, fix issues, and keep the platform fast, secure, and reliable. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning tasks end-to-end, writes clean and well-documented code, and is keen to grow into more senior responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
Build and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, and related technologies.
Develop and integrate features against RESTful APIs and third-party services (e.g. Xero, Microsoft 365).
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the platform.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following team coding standards.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
Work with internal teams and customers to turn requirements into working features.
Support deployments and monitor application performance.
Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and emerging technologies.
About you
2–4 years of professional PHP development experience.
Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with at least one PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, etc.) or CMS platforms.
Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with Linux, Apache, and Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
