Summary
TCS is hiring a senior full-stack engineer in Chennai to design and build end-to-end features: backend services in PHP (Yii2) and Node.js, responsive frontends in React 18+ with TypeScript, backed by MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and Elasticsearch, with focus on scalable architecture, API/database performance and production reliability.

Job Requirements*
- Bachelor‘s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in full stack development
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- PHP (Yii2 framework)
- React (18+) and TypeScript
- Experience building scalable, high-performance applications
- Strong knowledge of databases and technologies like:
- MySQL, MongoDB
- Redis, Elasticsearch
- Experience with API development and optimization
- Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and performance tuning.
- Experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
- Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities*
- Design and develop end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems.
- Build backend services using PHP (Yii2) and frontend apps using React & TypeScript.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, responsive applications.
- Design scalable backend systems and optimize architectures for high user volumes.
- Perform database design, migrations, and performance optimization
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- Optimize performance across APIs, databases, and frontend applications
- Ensure reliability, stability, and data integrity in production systems
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features.
- Participate in feature planning and technical discussions
- Improve existing applications and adopt new technologies
- Contribute to process improvements and engineering standards
- Take ownership of technical delivery and problem-solving
- Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning culture
