Role Overview

As a Software Engineer - PHP/Laravel, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and Laravel. You will work across backend and frontend components, with a strong focus on Laravel, REST APIs, Angular, SQL, and application integration.

You will collaborate with Team Leads, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and other developers to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Good understanding of OOP and MVC architecture.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Angular and frontend development.
• Experience integrating Angular applications with Laravel REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases and SQL queries.
• Understanding of database design, relationships, and query optimization.
• Experience with Git and source control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, and authorization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Develop frontend features using Angular and integrate them with backend APIs.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and support database-related development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, integration issues, and performance problems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and Agile development activities. Work closely with QA and other development teams to deliver quality software.

Technical Excellence

• Follow coding standards, development best practices, and secure coding practices.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.
• Identify opportunities for improving application performance and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate technical feedback.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Collaboration & Development
• Collaborate with Team Leads, Product Managers, QA Engineers, UI/UX teams, and developers.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Communicate technical challenges and development blockers effectively.
• Stay updated with PHP, Laravel, Angular, and modern web development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP, Laravel, REST APIs, Angular, and SQL.
• Experience with Angular-Laravel integration and web application development.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycle.
