Physical Product Designer

Sourced is seeking a talented and creative Physical Product Designer to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire product design process, from initial concept development to final production. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, and user experience teams to create appealing, functional, and manufacturable products that fulfill the needs of our customers and align with our brand values.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design new physical products that enhance user experience and drive market differentiation
• Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to validate design concepts and functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are viable for manufacturing and align with business objectives
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
• Manage the design process from ideation to final production, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions
• Prepare presentations for stakeholders, showcasing design concepts and rationale

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
• Proven experience (3+ years) in physical product design, with a strong portfolio of work
• Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management
• Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and effectively communicate design concepts
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing is a plus.
