Physical Security Specialist

About the Position: Physical Security Specialist for an IMCOM Installation and is responsible for physical security plans, procedures and inspections as well as key control. The specialist provides guidance, recommendations, and assistance to Commanders, supervisors and employees concerning security systems, physical protection devices, Visitor Control Center and personnel access controls.

Develops installation physical security standard operating procedures

Makes recommendations to control or minimize unauthorized intrusion.

Oversees badging operations for the installation and other tenant activities for which IMCOM will provide badges.

Manages access control, to include the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) and the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) system.

Coordinates operations of the Visitor Control Center (VCC).
