Grand Rapids Care Center | Grand Rapids, OH
Flexible PRN Hours | Competitive PRN Rates | Weekday & Weekend Opportunities
Looking for PRN hours with a rehab team you’ll actually enjoy working with?
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Grand Rapids Care Center in Grand Rapids, Ohio.
Whether you're looking to supplement your current position, pick up occasional weekday or weekend hours, or simply want the flexibility of PRN work without feeling like "just the PRN therapist," we'd love to talk.
At AdvantageCare, we believe PRN clinicians should feel like part of the team, too.
You'll work alongside an established rehab team caring for an adult and geriatric population while having the flexibility that makes PRN work attractive in the first place.
Why PTAs Choose AdvantageCare
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services for more than 23 years, and we're therapist-founded and therapist-led.
That clinical foundation makes a difference.
Our Physical Therapist Assistants aren't simply filling treatment minutes. They're actively helping patients improve their strength, mobility, balance and independence while collaborating with Physical Therapists and other members of the rehabilitation team to provide individualized, meaningful care.
We recognize that PTAs play an essential role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, and we value the clinical skills, compassion and experience they bring to every treatment session.
As a PRN PTA, You Can Expect:
Flexibility that works around your schedule. PRN should be flexible. We're looking for PTAs who can help with coverage while balancing other professional and personal commitments.
A team that appreciates PRN support. You're there to help the team and patients—not simply fill a hole on the schedule. We want our PRN clinicians to feel welcomed, supported and valued whenever they're in the building.
Respect for your clinical skills. You're a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, and your knowledge and hands-on treatment experience matter. We value your contributions and the important role you play in helping patients progress toward their goals.
Collaborative rehabilitation. Work alongside PTs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care team in an environment that encourages communication and teamwork.
Competitive PRN compensation. Your experience, clinical skills and the flexibility you bring to the team have value.
Opportunity for additional hours. If your availability changes or you're interested in expanding your role in the future, Advantage continues to grow and may have additional opportunities available.
What Will You Do as a Physical Therapist Assistant?
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Grand Rapids Care Center, you'll provide skilled Physical Therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients improve their mobility, safety and functional independence.
Your role may include:
Providing skilled Physical Therapy treatments in accordance with established plans of care
Addressing strength, balance, gait, transfers, endurance and functional mobility
Implementing therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility and activity tolerance
Providing gait training, transfer training and functional mobility interventions
Assisting patients with safe use of walkers, wheelchairs and other assistive devices
Supporting fall-prevention strategies and patient safety
Monitoring patient responses to treatment and communicating progress or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
Providing patient, family and caregiver education related to mobility, safety and functional activities
Collaborating with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
Completing accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation
Helping patients regain confidence and independence with everyday activities
Your treatments will make a meaningful difference for patients working to return home, regain lost function or maintain their highest possible level of independence.
Why Grand Rapids Care Center?
For a Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys geriatrics, hands-on rehabilitation and helping patients achieve meaningful functional goals, a skilled nursing environment offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference.
You'll have the chance to work with individuals recovering from hospitalization, illness, surgery, injury or functional decline.
One day, you may be helping someone regain the strength to safely transfer from their wheelchair. Another day, you may be working with a patient on walking farther, improving balance or rebuilding the confidence needed to return home.
Those improvements matter.
And because rehabilitation is a team effort, you'll be working alongside other clinicians and facility staff who share the same goal: helping each patient achieve the highest level of function and independence possible.
At Grand Rapids Care Center, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients while providing individualized treatment that supports their recovery and quality of life.
