Summary
Assists physical therapists in a clinic by performing routine patient and non-patient tasks under continuous on-site supervision, ensuring smooth clinic operations.
The Physical Therapy Aide is a non-licensed worker who is trained under the direction of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. The aide performs designated routine tasks related to enhancing the efficiency of clinical operations. The aide provides support that may include patient-related and non-patient related duties and functions only with the continuous on-site supervision of the PT/OT or PTA. Continuous on-site supervision requires the presence of the physical therapist or therapist assistant in the immediate area.
