Physical Therapy Assistant

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for performing physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist. As a representative of the Rehabilitation department, and of the organization, it is required that the PTA perform the essential functions of the job in a professional manner, with a positive attitude and is aware and supportive of the mission, vision, resident Bill of Rights, policies and procedures of the organization.

Responsibilities include performing PT procedures, routine operational functions, maintaining communication with physicians or others on care team, transport of residents as needed, completing billing and documentation in a timely. manner.

Knowledge and Skills

Must be a graduate of a PT Assistant Associate Degree program

Must be licensed as PTA in NYS

Must have computer literacy

Team player

Per Diem

$40.20 per hour
