Physical Therapy Assistant (3285)

JOB DUTIES:
1. Basic knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.
2. Basic knowledge of physical therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same.
3. Provides treatment and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability disease. Provides residents with exercises.
4. Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the staff Physical Therapist. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice.
5. Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff and Physical Therapist.
6. Responsible for the monitoring and documentation of resident treatment and response.
7. Assists with formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and assesses effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate, staff and Physical Therapist are apprised of conclusions.
8. Meets current documentation standards and policies.
9. Adheres to facility’s Policy and Procedure.
