Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description:

• Vista Healthcare Sports Spine and Injury Center division is looking to hire a full-time physical therapy assistant (PTA). The PTA will assist physical therapists in developing and executing physical therapy treatment programs and procedures, providing direct patient care service.

Job Duties:
· Provides physical therapy services directly to patients, under the supervision of an onsite physical therapist according to the established plan set forth by the physical therapist.
· Works effectively as a team with the physical therapist and other staff members. Discusses and coordinates patient care with the physical therapist.
· Communicates professionally, properly and effectively with patients, family members and staff.
· Educates patients and family members about patient care plans and goals, including patient safety.
· Works effectively and efficiently with the electronic medical record. Documents patient visits and reports in a timely manner.
· Helps perform other staff duties to ensure the clinic runs well and is clean
