Physician (Aerospace Medicine)

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Hood, Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provides aerospace medical care to flyers, missile crews, and others with special standards of medical qualifications.

Evaluates and medically clears patients for Aeromedical Evacuation.

Provides clinical and administrative leadership to the Flight Medicine Primary Care Manager (PCM) team.

Guide, counsel and oversees Primary Care Manager (PCM) team personnel to include physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical technicians, and administrative personnel.

Participate in continuing education programs.

Actively participates and contributes to medical oversight activities to include peer review programs.

Participate in local disaster training exercises as directed by the Chief of the Medical Staff (SGH) or Medical Group Commander.
