Physician Assistant (Orthopedic)

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital, Beaufort SC. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service

Provide comprehensive medical, preventative, and therapeutic orthopedic healthcare service to cadets, active duty patients and their dependents, as well as retirees.

Assist orthopedic surgeon in the Operating Room with surgical procedures.

Evaluate total overall orthopedic healthcare needs of patients and develops plans to meet these needs.

Teach patients and family member’s ways to maintain or improve their health status

Facilitates and manages a full spectrum of patient care activities for the orthopedic team.

Contributes to developing protocols for the facility.
