Physician (Emergency Medicine)

About the Position: This position is located at EVANS ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, Fort Carson, CO in the Department of Emergency Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide direct clinical emergency medical care to a wide range of patient presentations, ages and conditions including emergent, urgent, and non-urgent complaints covering the entire age spectrum.

Examine, diagnose and treat or prescribe treatment of assigned patients.

Conduct initial resuscitation and stabilization of patients. Orders appropriate laboratory, x-ray, and other diagnostic tests, interprets the total medical and surgical evidence, incorporating information into an accurate diagnosis.

Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including lifesaving and lesser procedures.

Facilitate patient access to continuing medical care by appropriate referrals to other healthcare providers and operating within the policies and regulations of the hospital.

Design, develop, and validate new simulation scenarios aligned with organizational training requirements and evidence-based medical practices.

Serve as a preceptor and supervisor of interns, residents, and medical students as outlined in MTF's Graduate Medical Education program.

Participate in the Graduate Medical Education program for Emergency Medicine residents, off-service residents, physician assistant residents, medical students and other medical trainees.
