Physician (Family Medicine)

About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor in Oak Harbor, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Serve as a recognized technical authority in the delivery of Family Medicine across the family medicine clinic, primary care clinic, urgent care clinic, and other clinical settings within the military medical treatment facility (MTF).

Independently formulate full treatment plans based on thorough evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.

Perform emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.

Serve as the clinical program lead or co-lead for a major Family Medicine program element.

Identify opportunities to improve care delivery.

Make recommendations on improvement of work methods, organizational features, and clinical operations.

Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to participation in mass casualty exercises, disaster response planning, public health emergency preparedness, and other mission-essential activities.
