Physician - Hospitalist ( Nocturnist)

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System Department of Specialty Care is seeking an Internal Medicine ABIM board-certified/board-eligible physician with experience and demonstrated excellence in Internal Medicine resident and medical student teaching for a nighttime Academic Hospitalist position.

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) is seeking a Full-Time, Temporary (13 months)- (this will be discussed during Interview outlining the temp position), Physician (Hospitalist) to join the Specialty Care Service Line at the MVAMC in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Evening/overnight duties include but are not limited to: Independently admitting and managing patients on medical wards and step-down units; Co-managing post-operative surgical, rehabilitation, and psychiatric patients; participating in emergency responses (therefore must be AHA ACLS and BLS certified); Performing triage of outside admissions; and supervising medical residents and other health professions trainees. Qualified candidates will have an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
