Physician - Inpatient Hospitalist
Description
StatCare is a physician-owned pulmonary, critical care, sleep, and hospitalist group serving East Tennessee since 1999. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hospitalist Physician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Physician-owned and operated group serving the Knoxville community in over 10 inpatient facilities and 9 outpatient facilities since 2017. Our inpatient teams care for patients at partner hospitals including Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center and Parkwest Medical Center, alongside our outpatient pulmonary clinics and sleep centers.
Our mission is simple: Excellence. Every Patient. Every Time. Because we're physician-owned, the people making decisions about how we practice are the same people practicing. That means realistic workloads, real input into how the group runs, and a culture built around good medicine.
The Role
As a StatCare Hospitalist, you'll lead the care of adult inpatients from admission through discharge. You'll work side by side with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), our Pulmonary/Critical Care specialists, nursing, case management, and hospital teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
What you'll do:
-
Admit, evaluate, and manage a varied adult medicine census across our partner hospitals
-
Lead daily rounds and collaborate with APPs, consultants, nursing, and case management
-
Coordinate smooth, safe discharges and hand-offs to our Transitions of Care (TOC) follow-up program
-
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and referring and primary care physicians
-
Complete timely, accurate documentation that supports quality care and appropriate coding
-
Take part in quality improvement, peer review, and hospital committee work
-
Help teach and mentor APPs, residents, and students where opportunities exist
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
-
Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
-
Board certified or board eligible (ABIM or AOBIM)
-

-
