Physician, Internal Medicine

As a Physician, Internal Medicine, you will provide ambulatory primary care and longitudinal chronic disease management for patients in Harrison County and surrounding communities. This senior-level, onsite, full-time role supports accessible, high-quality adult care through evidence-based practice and clear communication.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive outpatient evaluation and treatment, preventive care, medication management, coordination with specialists and hospital-based services, and accurate documentation in Cerner EMR.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Residency trained in Internal Medicine
- Experience in ambulatory primary care and chronic disease management
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Strong interpersonal skills and community engagement

A Typical Day

Your day is structured around a four-day work week (Monday–Friday). You’ll start with a prepared clinic schedule, review upcoming visits, and move through a steady mix of new and established patients. Between appointments, you’ll close charts, address messages and results, and coordinate follow-ups to keep care plans on track. You’ll connect with colleagues as needed, then wrap up the day by confirming next-step plans and ensuring patients have clear instructions before they leave.
