About the Position: This position is located at the Army Medical Center Madigan,WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A relocation or recruitment incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Serve as a Medical Officer in the Internal Medicine Clinic, responsible for the examination, diagnosis and treatment of the full range of outpatients seen in the clinic.
Examine patients, orders and evaluates the full range of radiology and laboratory tests, makes diagnosis and prescribes appropriate treatment to include drugs, inoculations, nursing and dietary care.
May supervise, teach and provide consultation to other health care providers (nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, medical students and interns).
Evaluate and treat patients with multiple complicated problems who were screened and referred for follow-up.
