Physician (Neurology)

About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate for National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), Office of the DNICoE at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Flexible core work hours, Monday through Friday, between 0630 and 1730. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Perform comprehensive patient diagnostic evaluations using advanced modalities such as EEG, MEG, olfactory testing, neuro-imaging, vestibular assessments, and sleep studies.

Integrate neurological, imaging, laboratory, and clinical data to determine appropriate treatments and coordinate referrals to institute specialists.

Interpret relevant neurodiagnostic studies as appropriate to training and credentialing.

Coordinating care with primary care, specialty, and ancillary services.

Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and quality improvement activities.

Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and pathways for neurologic conditions.
