Physician (Obstetrics/Gynecology)

About the Position: This position is located at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Perform a range of medical duties within the clinic within the scope of OB-GYN practice; examines patients; make diagnosis; administer treatment, and perform routine OB-GYN procedures.

Order and interpret laboratory and radiological tests.

Refer patients to others as required for further evaluation either on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Serve as a consultant in OB/GYN to other medical officers, primarily on the more ambulatory OB/GYN cases.

Available on call to advise medical officers of procedures to be followed in the care and treatment of difficult cases, and to answer questions of ward personnel regarding management of hospitalized OB/GYN patients.

Provide inpatient Labor and Delivery services and perform OB/GYN surgery.

Provide input and direction in policies related to OB-GYN care.
