Physician (Pathology)

About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate for Clinical Operations, Consultative Services at the Joint Pathology Center in Silver Spring MD in an temperature controlled office building, approximately 8-9 hours of work per day. Preferred but not required: Experience in Neuropathology, Neuromuscular and Ophthalmic Pathology. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provides advanced diagnostic consultation and specialized testing.

Identifies and diagnoses rare and complex entities using new and advanced diagnostic techniques.

Performs and interprets specialized tests on body fluids or tissue samples, providing accurate information about pathogenesis, histogenesis, biology, and differential diagnosis.

Provides critical data and insights to support global health decisions and initiatives.

Handle critical and complex cases.

Develops and implements innovative educational programs and training for healthcare providers, including pathology and non-pathology physicians, residents, and medical students.

Leads the development and implementation of diagnostic processes and methodologies that set standards for national and international pathology practices.

Share expertise and knowledge with pathologists and institutions worldwide.
