Physician (Pathology)
The North Florida/ South Georgia Veterans Health System is looking for a board certified Pathologist (Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology). Additional board certification or completion of fellowship in the following areas are particularly valuable: Dermatopathology, Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology, or other subspecialty area of Pathology.

If appropriate based on training/ needs- assistance with interpretation of Cytopathology specimens (non-GYN and GYN cytopathology, on-site evaluation of specimens. Presentation of pathology findings for interdisciplinary conferences including subspecialty tumor board conferences. Participation in activities necessary for high quality pathology services including intradepartmental quality assurance conference, retrospective peer review and other activities necessary for maintenance of accreditation. Other appropriate activities based on training/ needs including interpretation of Clinical Pathology tests, assistance with management of Clinical Pathology laboratories. Performance and reporting of autopsies (fewer than 10 per year shared among pathologists) Participates in providing 24 hours call coverage for Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs as appropriate. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
