Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Not Authorized A physiatrist specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), focusing on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving quality of life through nonsurgical treatments. They diagnose conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, and muscles, and lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams. Duties includes, but are not limited to: Restoring mobility and physical function Managing pain Improving quality of life Coordinating comprehensive rehabilitation plans Diagnose and treat conditions involving the musculoskeletal and nervous systems (e.g., arthritis, back pain, stroke, spinal cord injury). Use nonsurgical treatments, including: Spine and joint injections Nerve stimulators EMG/nerve conduction studies Ultrasound-guided procedures Pain management therapies Lead multidisciplinary rehab teams: physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, rehab nurses, and others. Coordinate care with primary care physicians, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and other specialists. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Intermittent pm(Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).

Must pass pre-employment physical evaluation/examination. Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). You may be required to serve a probationary period.
