Physician (Psychiatry)
About the Position: This position is located Naval Medical Center San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Provide appropriate referrals to other medical and mental health care providers in and outside of MTF.
Deliver Psychiatric medical care to a wide demographic and large variety of psychiatric patient presentations, symptoms, conditions, and complexities.
Conduct thorough biopsychosocial evaluations of presenting patients, including but not limited to integration of laboratory, radiological, EKG, psychological testing, and clinical findings.
Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatment.
Develop treatment and rehabilitation plans and provides appropriate therapeutic treatment services.
Research activities may involve the development, testing or evaluation of innovative therapies.
