This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The Physician (Pulmonary/Critical Care) position is located at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, Louisiana. The Pulmonary-Critical Care section is a pillar of the institution and boasts a strong clinical and teaching reputation in the region. The position involves inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. The candidate will have educational responsibilities for Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: Attending responsibilities for the Medical ICU Team (Medical Residents) Critical Care consultation in Surgical ICU (with Medical Residents and Critical Care Fellow) Teaching and mentoring students, residents and Fellow Inpatient consultations for Pulmonary The physician should demonstrate the ability to work well with a large, diverse and dedicated patient care staff.
