Position Summary
Texas Regional Physicians is seeking an experienced Physician Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) across our multi-site network. The successful candidate will partner closely with practice leadership, department chairs, and administration to assess staffing needs, build a strong provider talent pipeline, and manage the recruitment process from initial sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff. This role is central to supporting TRP's continued growth across orthopedics, pain management, imaging, and surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for physicians and advanced practice providers, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer negotiation.
• Partner with practice leadership, department chairs, and administration to forecast staffing needs and develop specialty-specific recruitment strategies.
• Source candidates through direct outreach, physician staffing firms, residency and fellowship program relationships, specialty society networks, and job boards.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of providers for current openings and anticipated growth.
• Represent TRP at medical conferences, residency and fellowship fairs, and specialty society events to strengthen the organization's presence in target markets.
• Coordinate candidate site visits, interview logistics, travel arrangements, and stakeholder debriefs.
• Prepare and present competitive offer packages, negotiating compensation and terms within approved organizational guidelines.
• Maintain current knowledge of physician compensation benchmarks (MGMA, SullivanCotter) and regional market trends by specialty.
• Track and report recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and pipeline conversion.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and workflow within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Coordinate closely with credentialing, licensing, payer enrollment, and onboarding teams to ensure a seamless transition from offer to start date.
• Support visa sponsorship coordination (H-1B, J-1 waiver) for eligible candidates in partnership with immigration counsel.
• Manage relationships and contracts with external search firms and locum tenens agencies as needed.
• Ensure all recruitment practices comply with EEO, OFCCP, and applicable federal and Texas employment regulations.
