Physician - Rehabilitation & Extended Care (REC) Director
The Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is currently recruiting for a Physician to serve as our Rehabilitation & Extended Care (REC) Integrated Clinical Community (ICC) Director in Aurora, CO. The incumbent must have strong managerial and organization skills as well as extensive clinical knowledge in rehabilitation and extended care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The REC Director oversees a comprehensive portfolio of inpatient and outpatient programs, including 8-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Services, the Polytrauma-Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program, the Amputation System of Care Program, the Blind Rehabilitation Program, Audiology, Speech Pathology, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) care, and Chiropractic Care. This scope ensures integrated, high-quality care for patients with complex rehabilitation needs across multiple specialties. This position supports the REC mission through administrative leadership, direct patient care, and support of VAECHCS's educational and research activities. Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
