Physicist- Job Description

InZiv was founded in 2018 to address the critical quality assurance needs facing today’s most advanced display manufacturers, by developing highly specialized inspection equipment using proprietary nanoscale optics and metrology. The company’s portfolio extends to microLED, QLED and OLED technologies with the goal of providing state of the art tools for improving the manufacturing process, lowering production costs, and enabling greater access to the use of these displays by all consumers. Using our lead and expertise in these worlds, we are also at the frontier of Silicon Photonics.

As our Physicist, you will report to the VP of R&D and co-lead the development and production of one of the most complex multi-disciplinary systems in the semiconductor industry.

The chosen candidate is not afraid to get his hands dirty, loves a good challenge, and builds complex things from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Ability to independently research and master new topics within the electro-optics domain.
• Lead the development of unique optical and electro-optical testing and inspection methodologies.
• Conduct thorough lab testing and integration of advanced technologies.
• Be part of an R&D multi-disciplinary team.
• Leading the product lifecycle from initial concept to customer deployment.

Requirements

• MSc or higher in Electro-optics Engineering or Experimental Physics.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in multi-disciplinary systems (semiconductor field- an advantage).
• Experience in Silicon Photonics and optical communication- a strong advantage.
• Expertise in electro-optical systems and a deep understanding of optics principles, with experience in fields such as electro-optics, microscopy, lasers, detectors, optical alignments, and measurements.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• A creative thinker and a strong problem solver.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic startup environment.
• Availability to travel abroad.
• Demonstrate product capabilities for customers and prepare detailed results reports.
