Job Summary

We are looking for an educator who is committed to working with children. You will teach group Early Childhood classes as well as individual piano lessons to children at beginner to intermediate levels, applying a holistic pedagogy to develop musicianship, creativity, and expression. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons guided by TMC's curriculum and method and participate in ongoing professional learning within a collaborative teaching team.

Responsibilities

  • Teach TMC's Early Childhood Music Classes for children of preschool age
  • Conduct individual piano lessons that develop technical skills and musical understanding for children from beginner to intermediate levels
  • Apply The Music Circle’s holistic pedagogy and curriculum to foster musicianship, creativity, and expressive performance in students
  • Plan and execute lesson plans that balance technical development with musical artistry to engage and motivate learners
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to work on programmes for the TMC community, as well as training initiatives that enhance teaching effectiveness
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with students and parents to build strong relationships and support student growth

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Piano Performance or Music Education, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong proficiency in piano performance and musicianship demonstrated through teaching and performance experience
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred to effectively guide student learning and development
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning environment
  • Passion for nurturing young learners and inspiring their long-term growth in music
  • Collaborative, reflective, and committed to professional excellence within a team setting
