Pillarcraft Accounting & Digital Finance Graduate Programme
Pillarcraft invites ambitious and technology-oriented graduates to apply for its six-month Accounting & Digital Finance Graduate Programme.
The programme provides structured training and practical experience across Pillarcraft Accounting, Pillarcraft Cloud Solutions and Agbi Bayode & Co. (Chartered Accountants & Tax Practitioners).
Selected trainees will gain practical exposure to bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit support, cloud accounting and digital tax systems while working under the supervision of experienced professionals.
This opportunity is suitable for recent graduates who want to build a professional career combining accounting, tax and technology.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will receive training and undertake supervised assignments involving:
- Recording financial transactions in accounting systems.
- Preparing bank, customer, supplier and ledger reconciliations.
- Organising invoices, receipts, bank statements and supporting documents.
- Preparing accounting schedules, working papers and trial balances.
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
- Assisting with VAT, WHT, PAYE and other tax-compliance schedules.
- Organising documentation for tax audits, investigations and desk reviews.
- Supporting audit testing, document verification and stock counts.
- Using Microsoft Excel to analyse accounting and financial information.
- Learning and working with Usawa, Xero and other cloud applications.
- Supporting accounting-system setup, data migration and implementation.
- Assisting with NRS e-invoicing and digital tax-compliance assignments.
- Following up on outstanding information from clients professionally.
- Maintaining accurate engagement files and protecting confidential information.
- Performing other relevant assignments under professional supervision.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline.
- Have completed the National Youth Service Corps programme.
- Have no more than one year of post-NYSC work experience.
- Understand basic accounting principles.
- Possess basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- Be comfortable learning and working with technology.
- Have strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate integrity, attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
- Be willing to learn, receive feedback and work across different assignments.
- Be available to work full-time from the Abuja office.
Registration with ICAN or progress toward a recognised professional accounting qualification will be an advantage but is not compulsory.
Programme Structure
- Months 1–2: Foundation training and closely supervised assignments.
- Months 3–4: Practical rotation across accounting, tax, audit support and cloud finance.
- Months 5–6: Advanced assignments, client exposure and final assessment.
Trainees will be assessed on technical ability, accuracy, productivity, integrity, technology competence, communication, dependability and professional conduct.
Career Opportunity
This is a paid six-month graduate programme and does not automatically guarantee permanent employment.
Based on individual performance and business requirements, at least one outstanding trainee may be offered permanent employment as an Associate after completing the programme.
