Summary
Assist in installing sewer, water, and storm drainage systems by positioning, aligning, and securing pipes using hand and power tools.
- Assist Pipe Layers with the installation of sewer, water, and storm drainage systems
- Help position, align, and secure pipe and drainage structures
- Operate hand tools and assist with power tools such as concrete saws as needed
- Support trench preparation, including grading, leveling, and compacting soil to specifications
- Assist in cutting and preparing pipe materials (PVC, ductile iron, concrete pipe, etc.)
- Signal equipment operators to guide movement and placement of materials
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
- Identify and help eliminate potential job site hazards
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or crew leaders
- Maintain predictable and reliable attendance
