MSD is looking for a Pipefitter Journeyman to join our team!

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter / Journeyman Plumber to install commercial and industrial plumbing and piping systems while providing day-to-day leadership and mentorship to Apprentices. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys solving complex installation challenges, and is committed to quality workmanship from underground rough-in through final fixture installation.

You'll work alongside a skilled team on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, helping ensure every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

  • Install, repair, and modify commercial and industrial plumbing and piping systems.
  • Perform above-ground and underground plumbing installations, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, process piping, and specialty piping systems.
  • Install equipment connections, plumbing fixtures, trim-out, and complete final system testing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, isometric drawings, and shop drawings to ensure accurate installations.
  • Lead by example in the field while providing guidance, training, and mentorship to Apprentices.
  • Coordinate daily work activities and communicate project priorities with supervisors and project teams.
  • Ensure installations comply with plumbing codes, project specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Track labor hours, materials, and job progress as required.
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, lifts, and machinery required for the trade.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify potential issues before they impact project schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site while promoting a strong safety culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Current Journeyman Plumbing License (required)
  • 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial plumbing experience
  • Experience with:
    • Above-ground plumbing installations
    • Underground plumbing systems
    • Commercial piping systems
    • Mechanical equipment connections
    • Finished plumbing fixture installation and trim-out
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing practices, piping systems, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Working knowledge of pipefitting and welding practices (MIG, TIG, and Stick) preferred.
  • Rigging experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor less experienced team members.
  • Willingness to work in the field every day in a hands-on installation role.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Additional plumbing, pipefitting, or welding certifications are a plus.
