Verdantas is seeking aPipeline Design Engineerto support the planning, design, and execution of natural gas transmission and related energy infrastructure projects. This is a remote position.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong technicalexpertisein pipeline systems, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary coordination across the full project lifecycle—from routing and design through construction and commissioning.

WhatYou’llDo:
Lead and supportpipeline design and engineeringfor transmission and midstream infrastructure projects
Develop and reviewalignment sheets, routing plans, and design documentation
Performhydraulic modeling and flow analysisusing tools such asSynergiGas, AFT Fathom, orPipeSim
Executeengineering calculationsincluding MAOP, wall thickness, stress analysis, and class location assessmentsin accordance with49 CFR 192 and ASME B31.8
Design and supportfacilities integration, including meter/regulator stations, compressor stations, and valve spacing
- Collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams(mechanical, electrical, I&C) to deliver coordinated engineering solutions
Participate inconstructability reviewsand provide technical support during construction activities
Interface withclients, regulators, and internal stakeholdersto ensure compliance and project success
Contribute totechnical reports, specifications, andpermittingdocumentationwith clear and concise writing
Support project tracking related toscope, schedule, and budget performance
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree inMechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering
ProfessionalEngineer (P.E.) licenseisrequired. Preferredin PA/OH/WV.
5–10+ years of pipeline engineering experience, focused on transmission systems
Strong knowledge ofpipeline design codes (ASME B31.8, 49 CFR 192)
Experience withhydraulic modeling and pipeline system analysis
Familiarity withpipeline routing, alignment sheets, and design documentation
Prior experience with field activities or construction support
Strongtechnical writing and communication skills
Willingness totravel to project sites on occasion
Salary Range:
The compensation range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
