Piping Material Engineer
Summary
Engineer piping material specs and stress calculations for offshore platforms/FPSOs, reviewing layouts, MTOs, and supplier docs across project stages.
Title:
Piping Material EngineerJob Responsibilities:
- Develop piping material specifications
- Perform pipe wall thickness calculations, piping stress computer analysis, flange leak calculations and piping material take-offs
- Review equipment and piping layouts as well as piping support design
- Review Piping bulk, valve and specialty item related MTO/RFQ/TBE/PO and review and approve supplier documents and drawings
- Provide technical support related to Piping material and engineering to the project during concept, Pre FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation commissioning, and start-up stages of the project
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with exposure to piping stress checks and supports design
- Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience in a consultancy environment
- Shall have good experience in performing piping material engineering for offshore platforms/FPSO, etc.
- Has good written and oral communication skills
- Shall be self-motivated to learn and possess advanced computer skills
