Piping Material Engineer
Summary
Designs and specifies piping materials for offshore platforms and FPSOs, performing stress calculations and reviewing engineering layouts throughout project stages.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop piping material specifications
Perform pipe wall thickness calculations, piping stress computer analysis, flange leak calculations and piping material take-offs
Review equipment and piping layouts as well as piping support design
Review Piping bulk, valve and specialty item related MTO/RFQ/TBE/PO and review and approve supplier documents and drawings
Provide technical support related to Piping material and engineering to the project during concept, Pre FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation commissioning, and start-up stages of the project
Job Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with exposure to piping stress checks and supports design
Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience in a consultancy environment
Shall have good experience in performing piping material engineering for offshore platforms/FPSO, etc.
Has good written and oral communication skills
Shall be self-motivated to learn and possess advanced computer skills
