Position Overview:
Join our team as a Lead Teacher or Teaching Assistant in our PreK before and after care programs at PBP Cheesequake and PBP Selover. You'll work with 3- and 4-year-olds in a warm, play-based setting that helps them build early social, emotional and school-readiness skills. If you love working with young children, this is the role for you.

Hours:

• Afternoons: 1:25 pm – 6:30 pm, Monday-Friday. You must be available to start at 1:25 pm.
• Mornings: 6:55 am – 8:00 am, Monday-Friday (as needed)
• Early dismissal days: starts at 11:30 am (about once a month)
• Work up to about 30 hours per week, based on enrollment and your availability

Pay:

• Teaching Assistant: $17 + per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the Leading Edge curriculum through age-appropriate, play-based activities
• Support young children with routines, transitions, snack time and self-care
• Foster social-emotional growth, early literacy, fine motor skills and positive behavior
• Maintain a safe, clean and engaging classroom environment
• Maintain program quality according to company and NJ state licensing standards
• Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios at all times
• Communicate warmly and professionally with families and school staff
• Complete administrative tasks such as attendance and licensing paperwork
• Lead Teachers also plan daily activities, guide Teaching Assistants and serve as a main point of contact for families

Requirements:

• Must be 18 or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Monday-Friday availability, with the ability to start at 1:25 pm
• A genuine passion for working with preschool-aged children
• Reliable transportation
• Teaching Assistants: Childcare or early childhood experience preferred
