PLA Specialist II
This role includes utility pole loading analysis and engineering assessments for electric, telecom, broadband, and fiber networks using O-Calc Pro while ensuring compliance with US standards and client requirements.
Employment Type: Full-Time.
Work Schedule: 5:30pm - 1:30am (IST) – Fully on Site (No Hybrid, No WFH).
Location: EMAAR Digital Green, Tower B, Golf Course Road Extension, Sector 61, Gurugram, Haryana – 122011.
- Perform utility pole loading analysis, structural assessments, and attachment evaluations using O-Calc Pro.
- Analyze existing and proposed electric, telecom, broadband, and fiber attachments to determine pole capacity, clearance compliance, and structural integrity.
- Review field data, engineering drawings, utility records, and project documentation to support engineering design decisions.
- Prepare and maintain engineering calculations, pole loading reports, design recommendations, and project deliverables in accordance with client and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable utility specifications, safety requirements, and engineering standards, including NESC guidelines where applicable.
- Collaborate with US-based engineering, project management, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
- Support utility distribution, joint-use, make-ready, and network expansion projects while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in Utility Engineering, Distribution Engineering, Joint-Use Engineering, or Pole Loading Analysis, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with O-Calc Pro.
- Strong knowledge of utility pole loading, attachment analysis, clearance requirements, structural analysis, and utility engineering standards.
- Experience supporting electric utility, telecommunications, broadband, or fiber infrastructure projects and interpreting engineering drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with engineering tools and software; experience with GIS, AutoCAD, or similar utility engineering platforms is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; experience with US utility clients, make-ready engineering, distribution design, or utility modernization projects are an advantage.
