Placement Coordinator

1. Industry & Employer Engagement (STEM-focused)

  • Build partnerships with tech companies, engineering firms, research organizations, and startups
  • Stay updated with hiring trends in fields like software development, data science, AI, electronics, etc.
  • Understand technical job requirements (skills, tools, certifications)

2. Candidate Skill Alignment

  • Assess candidates’ technical competencies (coding, lab skills, engineering concepts, etc.)
  • Map candidates to suitable roles such as developer, analyst, lab technician, or research assistant
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate with trainers to bridge them

3. Pre-Placement Training Support

  • Organize technical workshops (e.g., programming languages, tools, industry practices)
  • Facilitate mock technical interviews, coding tests, and aptitude assessments
  • Support preparation for hiring platforms like HackerRank or CodeChef

4. Placement Coordination

  • Plan and execute campus drives, hackathons, and recruitment events
  • Coordinate technical interviews, assignments, and selection rounds
  • Ensure candidates meet employer expectations before interviews

5. Data Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of student skills, certifications, and placement outcomes
  • Track metrics like placement rate, average salary, and domain-wise hiring
  • Analyze hiring trends to improve future training and placement strategies

6. Post-Placement Support

  • Monitor candidate performance in technical roles
  • Collect employer feedback on skill relevance and performance
  • Support candidates in career progression (role upgrades, certifications)

7. Collaboration with Academic & Training Teams

  • Work closely with faculty/trainers to align curriculum with industry needs
  • Suggest updates based on trends (e.g., AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity)
  • Help design industry-relevant projects and internships

8. Internship & Research Opportunities

  • Facilitate internships with tech companies, labs, or startups
  • Connect students with research opportunities or fellowships
  • Promote participation in competitions, hackathons, and innovation challenges

Key Skills Required
