As a Planner/Buyer Sr, you will plan material requirements and execute purchase orders for complex assemblies, balancing inventory levels with customer delivery commitments.
What you’ll do:
- Convert MRP demand signals into purchase orders, schedule agreements and work orders.
- Analyze lead times, safety stock and lot sizing to optimize inventory investment.
- Monitor supplier OTD and expedite or reschedule as needed to meet production changes.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on part revisions and obsolescence management.
- Review inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with Warehouse.
- Provide data and recommendations to management on supply risks and mitigation plans.
What you'll need:
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
- 4+ years in planning and purchasing; aerospace/aviation preferred.
- Proficient in ERP/MRP planning modules and Excel analytics.
- Strong understanding of BOM structures, demand planning and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and supplier‑relationship skills.
