Summary
Coordinates production schedules, tracks component delivery, and resolves supply chain issues in a metal/mechanical manufacturing environment using ERP systems and data analysis tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Track and report issues that impact component delivery
- Maintain Work Orders utilizing exceptions within the ERP
- Work with inventory information to ensure production components are production-ready
- Work with build quantities, level loading, and lead time on products.
- Identifies potential delivery issues and adjusts schedules accordingly and follows up to mitigate problems and discuss with Master Scheduler.
- Ability to use an ERP system proficiently and pull appropriate data to guide decision-making.
- Supply all documentation related to Job Management (work orders, work instruction manual, job packet) to operations that they need to complete the job to quality standards.
- Monitors equipment, cells and departmental capacity and recommends adjustments based on historical data.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment (metal mechanic manufacturing preferred) or 2+ years of working experience in the Nelson Global materials department.
- High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to effectively communicate, work, and relate with people at all levels of the organization.
- Intermediate level Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros, Data Analysis)
- Proficiency in ERP modules desired (SAP, Oracle, or Epicor)
- MS Office, MS Access, SQL.
