Planner/Scheduler (Oil and Gas)
Experienced Planner/Scheduler with process plant project experiences are encouraged to apply. The role requires a proactive candidate with an skills and experience in scheduling turnaround activities at a refinery/process plants. Being able to engage and maintain relationships with various stakeholders is essential to this position.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, develop, and maintain consistent and realistic plans and control structures for major projects and portfolio projects.
- Produce schedule deliverable packages appropriate for the project stage gates (e.g., feasibility, FEED, execution).
- Responsible for integrated scheduling project activities in production units including construction and non-routine turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with Planners, Production teams, Plant Engineers, Contractors, workshop, and other supporting functions to ensure the project work schedule is optimal, realistic, and executable.
- Ensure optimum resource utilization.
- Accountable to deliver and publish daily and weekly work schedules to the relevant stakeholders.
- Timely update of work schedule based on the occurrence of work orders, and unplanned activities.
- Forecast integrated resources requirements based on look ahead meetings.
- Review and verify contractor-reported progress, ensuring it is accurately reflected in the integrated program schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in any Engineering Discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, mainly technical support in Refinery or Petrochemical Plant. Preferably with some years in Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Turnaround, or Operation experience.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in scheduling using Primavera.
- Strong engineering fundamentals & understanding of refining/chemical production processes.
- Fluency in English and ability to facilitate discussions/conduct management presentations/meetings.
