Planner Scheduler

Summary
Coordinates and schedules field service work for a construction and engineering firm using Oracle Cloud HCM tools.
The Planner Scheduler will support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for one of our key clients. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of complex engineering and project execution initiatives.

- Supports the maintenance of planning control structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Support the maintenance of baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
- Assist with monitoring and controlling planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project
- Support preparation of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements.
- Support preparation of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.
- Support preparation of updates to project plans and schedules
- Support preparation of updates to project manpower requirements
- Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyse project performance in relation to planned performance.
- Liaise with cost discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of man-hour budgets
- Participate in schedule risk analysis as required
- Participate in Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews
- Assist in the delivery of schedules and plans where;
- Project schedules are maintained in accordance with approved contract and project Work Breakdown Structure.
- Project plans and schedules are issued in accordance with contract reporting calendar and on an as required basis.
- All project schedules are fully logic linked and show the critical path and total float for all activities.
- The project schedule is baselined at the time of approval by the client of funding for the project.
- All project schedules contain resources in accordance with the corporate standards
- Work packs delivery milestones are clearly identified within the project schedules.
- A standard set of agreed milestones are maintained within both the schedule and the cost reporting database.
- Minimum 8 years' planning and scheduling experience in engineering, construction, or industrial brownfield projects, with at least 4 years in power generation or equivalent heavy industry
- Background in progress measurement, S-curve development, and earned value reporting for engineering and brownfield project delivery
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Level 2/3 integrated master schedules across multiple concurrent workstreams using Primavera P6
- Certification in planning/scheduling tools is highly advantageous (Primavera P6 Certified Practitioner, MS Project)
- Project Management certification (PMP, PMI-SP) is an advantage
- Training in Earned Value Management (EVM) and CPM scheduling methodology preferred
- Experience in critical path analysis, schedule risk assessment, and float management across multi-discipline portfolio.
- Experience coordinating schedule inputs from multiple discipline leads and OEMs into a single integrated programme
- Knowledge of resource and cost-loaded scheduling is an advantage.
