Planner
POSITION SUMMARY
- The Material Planner ensures the timely procurement and availability of materials required for production. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively prioritize tasks, communicate with team members, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The planner should have strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems and adapt to changes in plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets using project management tools.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure timely task completion and resource alignment.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement contingency plans.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and communication channels.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify improvements.
- Plan material requirements based on production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and resolve material-related issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Analyze MRP outputs and adjust planning parameters as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, management, or related field
- At least 2-4 years of experience in project planning or management
- Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle preferred), strong negotiation and communication skills, data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
