Planning Engineer
Summary
Plans and monitors construction project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, tracking milestones and mitigating delays.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules from tender stage through project completion.
- Prepare baseline programmes, master schedules, look-ahead schedules and recovery programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Track project progress against planned milestones and identify potential delays or schedule risks.
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPM) and recommend mitigation measures to support timely project delivery.
- Coordinate with project teams on construction sequencing, resource planning and project progress.
- Assist in delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and schedule reporting.
- Support project planning, risk management, contract administration and resource allocation.
- Prepare regular progress reports and provide planning updates to management.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Director, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project planning within the construction industry.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Good understanding of construction planning and scheduling principles, including Critical Path Method (CPM).

- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
